Job Description:
CBRE is seeking an Accounting Intern in Memphis, TN. This is a part-time, hybrid position (20 hours per week) paying $18 per hour. It is a remote position. The role offers a broad overview of the Client Accounting Services department, with opportunities to assist accounting professionals and perform various accounting duties. The internship is year-round, with the potential for a full-time position after graduation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with assembling, analyzing, and balancing general ledgers, bank reconciliations, and month-end related entries.
• Research open accounting issues and discrepancies.
• Verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various source documents.
• Assist in month-end procedures and preparation of financial reporting packages for field offices.
• Participate in overviews of functional areas such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and lease administration.
Requirements:
• Must be a 3rd or 4th year Accounting or Finance student enrolled in an accredited 4-year academic program in the Memphis, Tennessee area.
