• Mission: This role is responsible for supporting the Controller’s Organization by performing essential accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial data processing, and assisting with financial reporting and compliance within the petroleum industry.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Process and analyze business documents related to various accounting functions.
• Prepare accurate financial statement journal entries based on accounting and financial data analysis.
• Prepare general ledger account reconcilements to ensure data integrity.
• Assist in the preparation of tax information and contribute to budget processes.
• Test SOX and Non-SOX controls as part of auditing activities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Must be an Accounting major, though other business majors may be considered for specific areas like Audit. Concurrent enrollment in a bachelor’s degree (or higher) seeking program for the duration of the experience is required.
• Experience: No prior professional experience is explicitly required, but candidates must demonstrate strong academic performance. Must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Skills: Data analysis, financial document processing, general ledger reconciliation, attention to detail, and support for compliance testing.
• Bonus: Military experience is a plus.
