Accounting & Finance Intern | Sargento

The Tone:
This is an internship at Sargento, located in Plymouth, WI, with onsite work Mondays through Thursdays and optional remote Fridays. Sargento is a family-owned company with over 2,400 employees and $1.8 billion in net sales, renowned for pioneering pre-packaged natural cheeses for over 70 years in the consumer-packaged goods industry. This role is essential for leading significant projects, expanding technical skills, and providing analysis to financial leaders, helping to drive business performance.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Flexible work week (onsite Mondays through Thursdays, optional remote Fridays; plus, half day Fridays)
• Location: Hybrid – Plymouth, WI

• Mission: This intern will lead meaningful projects with clear deliverables, expanding skills and knowledge across accounting and finance disciplines while providing analysis to financial leaders.
• Tech Stack: Excel, Word, SAP, Power BI, OneStream, Microsoft Teams, Outlook

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Modeling: Use Excel to model, evaluate, and report financial data.
• Performance Insights: Enhance and utilize data & analytics tools to provide insights into business performance.
• Financial Analysis: Identify and analyze financial data and processes to provide insights and recommendations on improving results.
• Presentation: Present findings and insights to all levels within the F&A organization.
• Support Operations: Assist with monthly close, forecast, and reporting duties.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s in accounting or a related field, having completed junior year by the beginning of the internship. Entry-level.
• Experience: No specific years required. Proficiency with Excel and Word, and ability to learn SAP.
• Skills: Excel modeling and reporting, financial data analysis, data & analytics tool utilization, financial statement understanding, attention to detail.
• Bonus: Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and a vehicle are required for transportation as there is no mass/public transit system to/from corporate housing to company locations.
