Accounting Department Manager | Hart Ranch Camping Resort Club
The Tone:
This is a full-time, year-round role at Hart Ranch Camping Resort Club, a destination focused on delivering exceptional resort experiences. This non-supervisory position is vital for meticulously maintaining the Resort’s financial records and day-to-day accounting operations. The role supports comprehensive financial management, encompassing everything from accounts payable to financial reporting and compliance, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all financial information. This position directly contributes to the smooth operation of the Resort’s business office and supports leadership with critical financial insights.

• Mission: Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential financial records and day-to-day accounting operations for the Resort.
• Tech Stack: accounting, membership, reservation, payment processing, business software systems
What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Management: Oversee all accounts payable, general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, cash management, banking activities, and month-end and year-end closing processes while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Revenue & Membership Accounting: Process and reconcile all revenue, member payments, deposits, credit card transactions, account adjustments, billing activities, recurring member charges, and manage collections.
• Reporting & Compliance: Prepare financial reports, billing reports, tracking spreadsheets, and tax filings, along with processing payroll to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all applicable regulations.
• System Optimization: Utilize and maintain various accounting, membership, reservation, payment processing, and business software systems, troubleshooting issues and recommending workflow improvements.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Provide exceptional service and professional communication, collaborating closely with Resort leadership, Member Services, HR, Operations, vendors, members, and the Board of Directors.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Managerial-level individual contributor with a robust understanding of day-to-day accounting operations, financial record management, and compliance.
• Experience: Proven ability to manage accounts payable, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, cash management, month/year-end closing processes, and payroll processing. Demonstrated experience in revenue processing, membership accounting, billing, collections, and financial reporting.
