The Tone:
This is an internship at Mitsubishi Power Americas, located in Lake Mary, FL. Mitsubishi Power architects a better future by building clean energy technologies and redefining power generation to accelerate the world’s energy transition. This role is an integral member of the Controllership team, participating in the day-to-day accounting and reporting processes and controls, directly contributing to accurate financial reporting.

• Mission: To participate in day-to-day accounting and reporting processes and controls over internal and external financial reporting.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office programs, accounting ERP system

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare: Month-end close journal entries including accruals, cash transfers, AP reclasses, and prepaids.
• Support: Monthly and quarterly financial close and reporting activities related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cash flows.
• Reconcile: Monthly balance sheets.
• Prepare: Monthly and quarterly analytical reporting, including commentary on balance sheet and P&L variances.
• Document: And maintain accounting policies and procedures.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Currently a Junior or Senior enrolled in a four-year college or university program pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Experience: Must commit to a minimum 1-year internship, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a full-time position.
• Skills: Effective communication with staff and management at all levels, strategic thinking, organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
