• Mission: Manages core transactional accounting functions to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records for mission-driven entities.
• Tech Stack: QuickBooks Online, Justworks, Bill.com, Ramp, Google Sheets, Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounts Receivable: Process invoicing, post payments, monitor accounts, and conduct collection efforts.
• Accounts Payable: Manage vendor onboarding, invoice approval, payment processing, and vendor reconciliation.
• Month-End Close Support: Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations and prepare journal entries.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain records for revenue, expenditures, and paid media spend, and prepare financial information for reporting and tax filings.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and overall efficiency within the department.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a relevant field.
• Experience: Proficiency with Google Sheets and Excel is required, alongside the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Skills: Highly organized with strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks with deadlines.
• Bonus: Experience with QuickBooks Online, Justworks, Bill.com, and Ramp is preferred, as is experience in startup or growth environments.
