What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze: Analyze corporate and segment accounting transactions to provide financial insights.
• Record: Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records and support financial operations.
• Report: Support month-end close activities and prepare financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Reconcile: Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts, researching and explaining any variances.
• Improve: Identify issues and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within accounting functions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience, combined with experience in financial data, accounting processes, or administrative support functions.
• Experience: Proven experience working with financial data, accounting processes, or administrative support functions, demonstrating the ability to follow established accounting procedures.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, effective verbal and written communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities collaboratively.
• Bonus: An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close processes, ERP systems like JD Edwards, advanced Excel skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.
