The firm effectively resolves consumer and commercial debt nationwide through professional, compliant, and results-driven legal processes. This Accounting Assistant position is vital for supporting the accounting department’s daily financial operations. The role ensures accurate record-keeping and contributes to timely financial reporting in a collaborative team environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounts Receivable Management: Accurately process all daily Accounts Receivable check payments and ensure proper application of postings within the financial system.
• Accounts Payable Processing: Enter incoming Accounts Payable invoices into the accounting system, meticulously verifying appropriate coding and cost allocations.
• Month-End Assistance: Provide comprehensive support to the accounting department throughout the various stages of the month-end close processes.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve payment and invoice discrepancies, acting on behalf of both the company and its clients.
• Financial Record Maintenance: Systematically maintain accurate and confidential financial records, along with associated documentation.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, alongside foundational knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes.
• Experience: Prior experience in an accounting or administrative support role, demonstrating reliability and the ability to contribute effectively in a team environment.
• Skills: Possess strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to address financial issues and discrepancies. Demonstrate high attention to detail and accuracy across all record-keeping and processing tasks. Exhibit the ability to multitask effectively and prioritize competing deadlines. Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive financial information at all times. Show proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
