Accounting and Finance Intern | RXO
The Tone:
This is an Accounting and Finance Internship at RXO. The company is a leading provider of transportation solutions, actively revolutionizing the industry with technology and a large network to create efficient ways for goods to be transported across North America. In this role, you will work closely with experienced financial leaders to learn and gain valuable experience across critical financial areas such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and FP&A. This position is designed to provide you with practical experience, setting you on a path toward a successful career in accounting and finance.

• Mission: Contributes to critical financial operations and business-impacting projects by assisting with reporting, analytics, and model optimization.
• Tech Stack: Oracle – Hyperion Financial Management, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Collaboration: Engage and communicate effectively with professionals throughout the organization.
• Project Contribution: Act as a key contributor to business projects that address real problems.
• System Utilization: Operate accounting systems, specifically Oracle – Hyperion Financial Management.
• Data Support: Provide assistance with reporting and analytics, and respond to inquiries.
• Model Enhancement: Design and optimize existing forecasting models.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Skills: Ability to assist with reporting and analytics; capability to design and optimize forecasting models; effective communication skills.
• Bonus: Excellent verbal and written communication for presenting information clearly; strong organizational and multitasking abilities with a focus on meeting deadlines; a self-motivated approach, capable of working independently or collaboratively with team members and management.
