Intern – Accounting | CRH

What You’ll Actually Do
• Problem Solving: Work with company staff to identify solutions for common issues.
• Process Review: Review and approve batches related to job costing.
• Business Exposure: Gain insight into the business through participation in projection meetings.
• Communication Management: Manage the Accounting shared mailbox in Outlook.
• Administrative Support: Provide clerical support and assist staff with data entry, month-end closings, and reconciliations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Working towards a bachelor’s or associate degree in accounting from a college or technical school.
• Experience: No specific years required. Practical experience supporting clerical tasks, data entry, month-end closings, and reconciliations is essential.
• Skills: Understanding knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; strong desire to learn; ability to read, interpret, and write routine reports; effective verbal communication; mathematical proficiency (arithmetic, rates, ratios, percentages, graph interpretation); strong problem-solving and reasoning abilities.
