The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Search Services, located on the southwest side of Houston, TX. The company is a Private Equity backed manufacturing and distribution business experiencing rapid growth and profitability. This Accounting Analyst role is critical for supporting the company’s expansion, offering an entrepreneurial environment with diverse responsibilities and significant career development potential directly under the CFO.

• Mission: To support the company’s rapid growth by managing general accounting functions, assisting with financial reporting, and contributing to analysis.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Assist with the monthly financial close process and prepare the monthly financial reporting package.
• General Ledger: Perform day-to-day general accounting functions, including preparing journal entries and other month-end adjustments.
• Reconciliation & Support: Perform monthly account reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules for monthly adjusting entries.
• Financial Analysis: Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and broader financial analysis initiatives.
• Specialized Accounting: Support inventory/cost accounting, fixed asset accounting, and other general ledger activities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An Accounting degree is required, suitable for entry-level professionals.
• Experience: Zero to two years of accounting experience is preferred.
• Skills: A strong aptitude for technology is preferred, along with being a hard-working professional.
• Bonus: A desire to pursue CPA certification and willingness to experiment with AI for process efficiency are highly valued.
