The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role at SBA Communications. In this Accountant I role, you will apply accounting principles under USGAAP and local GAAP to manage the organization’s financial records, prepare statements, and ensure compliance. • Mission: This role ensures the accurate application of accounting principles to manage company finances, maintain fixed asset records, and prepare compliant financial statements.

What You’ll Actually Do
• General Ledger: Compile and analyze financial information to prepare accurate journal entries within the general ledger.
• Month-End Close: Execute timely month-end close processes and conduct monthly reconciliations.
• Audit Support: Prepare necessary schedules for quarterly external audit reviews and annual year-end audits.
• Tax & Compliance: Administer property tax declarations for buyouts or lease extensions and submit annual business license declarations to municipalities.
• Asset Management: Conduct periodic asset verification and analysis for obsolescence, recommending fixed asset dispositions to management.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Experience: Entry-level position focused on accounting or finance functions.
• Skills:
• USGAAP and local GAAP application
• Financial statement preparation
• General ledger and journal entry creation
• Fixed asset accounting and depreciation
• Financial data analysis
• Bonus: At least 1 year of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
