This is an entry-level, hybrid role at Primerica, located in Duluth, GA. This Accountant 1 role is critical for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and contributing to the month-end close activities under the guidance of senior accounting staff.

• Mission: Support daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records to ensure compliance and assist with financial reporting.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel, WorkDay, OfficeConnect, Blackline, other accounting systems.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Daily Operations: Assist in daily accounting activities by preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and executing data entry.
• Reporting Support: Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Close Processes: Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Transaction Review: Review financial transactions for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Audit & Compliance: Assist with internal and external audit requests and support compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, suitable for an entry-level accounting professional.
• Experience: 0-2 years of relevant accounting experience, including internships.
• Skills: Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP), proficiency with Microsoft Excel, strong attention to detail and organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks, good written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Internship or prior experience in a corporate accounting environment, experience with ERP systems (e.g., WorkDay, OfficeConnect, Blackline), or progress toward CPA or other accounting certification.
