What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reconciliation: Perform thorough reconciliation of accounts and general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy, proper completion, and approval for financial statements.
• Compliance Assurance: Verify that all accounting practices and entries comply with departmental guidelines, procedures, and relevant accounting standards.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Participate in the research and resolution of discrepancies found during reviews and assist other departments with general ledger entry corrections.
• Operational Improvement: Collaborate with Management to keep business processes current, improve efficiency, and ensure they meet company service requirements.
• Knowledge & Communication: Maintain current knowledge of accounting principles and First Horizon Bank policies, and assist Management in communicating improvements and changes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Career level: Entry-Level.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are required; prior related work experience in a Corporate Accounting department is preferred.
• Skills: Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); ability to effectively work independently.
