Express is a multichannel apparel brand offering modern, confident, and effortless styles, while Bonobos is a menswear brand known for perfect-fit clothing and a personalized retail experience. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger by managing accounting processes, recording financial activities, and reconciling accounts within the company’s financial operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Management: Manage underlying data, supporting documentation, and spreadsheet-based calculations to ensure accounting accuracy and completeness.
• Journal Entries: Accurately book required journal entries to reflect various financial activities, including amortization, depreciation, prepaid and accrued accounts, receivables, returns reserve, supplies, and equity.
• Account Reconciliation: Manage the account reconciliation process by analyzing balance sheet account balances, assembling clear support for activity, and providing accurate and concise explanations for variances.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other internal departments and certain third parties to complete assigned accounting tasks.
• Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform other essential tasks as directed by your supervisor.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience, with a working understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience: 0-3 years of accounting experience in either public accounting or corporate accounting environments.
• Skills: Ability to work and function independently, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and assignments consistently meeting deadlines, excellent verbal and written communication skills, high attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and advanced PC proficiency including Microsoft Excel.
• Bonus: Demonstrated leadership skills and a strong interest in advancement.
