The Tone:
This is a full-time hybrid role at SentriLock, located in West Chester, Ohio, designed specifically to launch an accounting career. SentriLock is a leading provider of secure access management solutions for the residential real estate industry and other markets, with a significant presence across the U.S., Canada, and the UK, backed by the National Association of REALTORS®. This Accountant I position offers broad, hands-on exposure to various accounting and finance functions, making it an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to gain diverse experience and directly impact the business’s financial operations. Unlike larger organizations, this role provides comprehensive learning and direct interaction with experienced professionals and executive leadership, including the CFO.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounts Payable: Efficiently process all accounts payable transactions for both SentriLock and its UK operations, alongside managing employee expense reports using Concur.
• General Accounting: Execute critical month-end close activities, including the creation of prepaid journal entries and accruals, and processing payments for received items.
• Cash Management: Oversee daily cash application activities, assist with maintaining company cash levels, manage company credit cards, and process various vendor payments.
• Tax & Audit: Collaborate with the Senior Accountant on the completion of tax returns and submission of payments for approval, while also generating audit confirmations and responding to audit requests.
• Professional Development: Actively participate in assigned projects, pursue relevant training and research, and uphold department processes and ISO standards to support continuous improvement.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent qualification, ideal for a recent graduate or individual early in their accounting career.
• Experience: An opportunity to gain broad hands-on exposure across multiple areas of accounting and finance, with direct interaction with experienced professionals.
• Skills: Possess an eager desire to learn and develop professionally, be curious and willing to take on new challenges, dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
