What You’ll Actually Do
Financial Record Management: Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries for accounts, including general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions accurately.
Fund Distribution: Distribute expenditures, encumbrances, receipts, and receivables according to established schedules and procedures.
Compliance and Reporting: Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company procedures, then analyze financial information to prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other essential reports.
Financial Interpretation: Summarize and interpret the company’s current and projected financial position for internal managers, providing clear insights.
System Development: Install, modify, document, and coordinate the implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures, including devising new systems for general accounting.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in a related discipline; Entry-Level career.
• Experience: Zero to one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Skills: Apply practical accounting concepts; skillfully gather, analyze, and synthesize complex financial information; possess working knowledge of accounting software; solve practical problems and interpret varied instructions; communicate effectively in writing and verbally to prepare reports and speak to groups.
