This role is crucial for maintaining general ledger accounts, providing essential financial records, and performing critical analysis that informs senior management decisions and supports business objectives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze Accounts: Analyze financial accounts, records, reports, accounts receivable and payable, journal vouchers, general and subsidiary ledgers for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare Financial Information: Prepare monthly financial information, including journal entries, coding invoices/vouchers, reconciling the balance sheet, and analyzing variances.
• Maintain Fixed Assets: Maintain accurate fixed asset and depreciation records to ensure proper accounting and reporting.
• Support Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in annual budget preparation, periodic forecasts, and the creation of management reports measuring performance against key objectives.
• Perform Cost Analysis: Conduct basic analysis of cost assignments, classifying labor, material, and overhead costs, and analyzing actual versus standard cost variances.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, demonstrating a foundational understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in general ledger maintenance, financial transactions, and analysis.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and VLookups; very good communication skills; high attention to detail, good organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
• Bonus: Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn specialized accounting software to complete work assignments.
