Manufacturing Accountant – J0050967 | Astemo Ltd.

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Astemo Ltd., situated within a manufacturing environment. Astemo Ltd. requires dedicated financial support in its operational setting, making this Accountant position vital for the day-to-day functions of the finance and accounting department. The individual in this role will be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing essential accounting documents, and supporting timely financial reporting. This contribution directly impacts the overall efficiency and precision of the organization’s financial operations, ensuring compliance and robust financial health.

What You’ll Actually Do
• General Ledger Management: Prepare and post accurate journal entries while maintaining and meticulously reconciling general ledger accounts to ensure financial precision across all transactions.
• Financial Closing Support: Actively assist in critical month-end and year-end closing procedures, focusing on preparing comprehensive schedules and reports, and ensuring all financial data is consistently accurate and complete for reporting periods.
• Account Reconciliation & Discrepancy Resolution: Systematically reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts, diligently investigating and resolving any identified discrepancies to uphold financial data integrity.
• Fixed Asset Administration: Oversee corporate approval administration, maintain precise fixed asset schedules, accurately record depreciation and asset disposals, and manage fixed asset inventory processes.
• Compliance, Controls & Audit Readiness: Ensure all accounting practices strictly comply with GAAP and corporate policies, support internal and external audits to ensure comprehensive audit readiness, and assist in implementing and monitoring internal financial controls to help prevent fraud and errors.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires an Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, establishing a foundational knowledge base suitable for an early career accounting role supporting manufacturing operations.
• Experience: Involves a willingness to work directly within a manufacturing environment, which includes the necessity of going to the production floor and experiencing conditions with strong smells and noise. No specific number of years of experience is required for this position.
• Skills: Must be fluent in English with demonstrated strong written and verbal communication abilities; possess intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Software, specifically Excel, Access, and PowerPoint; and exhibit an analytical mindset with a performance orientation towards tasks.
