This Accountant role is crucial for the Federal Business unit, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee timesheets and expense reports. • Mission: Ensure accurate and compliant processing of employee timesheets and expense reports for the Federal Business unit.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Timesheet Administration: Oversee the accurate and timely processing, review, and administration of weekly Federal employee timesheets, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company and Federal policies.
• Expense Report Management: Review Federal employee expense reports for policy compliance, proper documentation, and approval requirements, returning reports for correction as needed and processing them weekly.
• Compliance & Service: Ensure strict adherence to company and Federal policies, weekly submission deadlines, and regulatory standards, while providing high-quality customer service to employees, managers, and business stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as a primary point of contact for timekeeping and expense report-related inquiries, effectively coordinating and communicating with employees, managers, Payroll, Project Accounting, and Finance.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve timesheet discrepancies and missing entries, monitor aged expense reports, and follow up with employees and approvers as necessary to ensure correct recording.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Typically 2+ years’ related experience, specifically in timekeeping and expense report administration.
• Skills: Attention to detail & accuracy, organizational skills, strong written and verbal communication abilities, intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Bonus: Experience in the Government Engineering or Construction Industry, knowledge of Government Compliance and Regulations, and must be a U.S. Citizen.
