What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Daily Financial Operations: Accurately record and reconcile all day-to-day financial transactions and meticulously maintain the general ledger.
• Oversee Accounts Management: Efficiently manage all accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, encompassing invoicing processes and effective cash management within the business environment.
• Prepare and Support Financial Planning: Generate comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, while actively supporting the development of budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
• Ensure Regulatory Compliance and Audit Support: Monitor strict compliance with company policies and all relevant regulatory requirements, and provide essential assistance for audits and tax filings.
• Facilitate Informed Decision-Making: Identify significant financial variances and proactively collaborate with operations and management teams to ensure the availability of precise financial information for strategic decision-making.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field, demonstrating strong proficiency in general accounting principles, including journal entries, financial reconciliations, and comprehensive general ledger maintenance.
• Experience: Proven experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing procedures, and cash management within a business setting. This includes a demonstrated ability to prepare, analyze, and report on financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, along with identifying and explaining variances and trends.
• Skills: Solid proficiency in utilizing accounting software and ERP systems, coupled with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other standard office applications. Must exhibit excellent attention to detail, superior organizational skills, the capacity to manage multiple deadlines effectively, and clear written and verbal communication abilities for cross-departmental collaboration.
• Bonus: Professional certifications, such as a CPA license or actively working toward certification, are considered a significant advantage. Prior experience specifically within the logistics, transportation, or a similar industry would also be highly beneficial.
