• Mission: Perform detailed assignments in posting, balancing, and recapitulating, receiving, and disbursing financial transactions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Ledger Management: Maintain ledger accounts by accurately posting financial transactions.
• Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile various financial reports including salary reports, bank statements, and general ledger trial balances.
• Cash Management: Prepare deposit slips and maintain precise cash control records.
• Statement Preparation: Generate basic profit and loss statements and trial balances of subsidiary ledgers, then reconcile any discrepancies.
• Cost Analysis Support: Calculate unit cost information and process monthly billings for reimbursement of expenditures.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level position requiring foundational accounting knowledge, typically gained through a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Experience: No experience required with a Bachelor’s Degree; alternatively, 2 years of accounting-related experience with an Link’s Associate’s Degree, or 4 years of experience in governmental and/or commercial accounting or auditing with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Skills: Proficiency in posting and balancing financial records, recapitulating financial transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and analyzing accounting data.
