The Tone:
This is a fully remote role at TalentHop’s client, located in the United States. The client operates in the vacation ownership industry, providing quality services across resorts, call centers, and corporate offices. This Accountant position is critical for managing the full cycle of accounting activities, ensuring financial data integrity and timely reporting. The role supports operational departments for appropriate revenue recognition and identifies process improvements to achieve company-wide financial and operational goals.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Perform: Perform full-cycle accounting activities, including journal entries, financial result analysis, and financial reporting narratives.
• Partner: Partner with operational departments to ensure effective contract processing and appropriate revenue recognition.
• Reconcile: Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts accurately within assigned responsibilities.
• Collaborate: Collaborate with accounting and other departments to implement changes and complete special projects.
• Identify: Identify opportunities for process automation, consolidation, or reengineering within accounting operations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS). Entry-level understanding of general ledger accounting principles.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of relevant experience, including general ledger accounting in a large multi-site corporate environment.
• Skills: High proficiency in Excel; strong analytical capabilities; self-motivated and collaborative team player; availability for occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work.
• Bonus: Master’s degree; CPA certification; experience in timeshare, real estate development, property management, or hospitality accounting; public accounting experience; familiarity with Oracle accounting software.
