Accounting Specialist | DENSO

This Accounting Specialist position is fundamental to maintaining the integrity of the company’s financial records by thoroughly investigating, analyzing, and reconciling critical accounting and financial information. The specialist will also be responsible for preparing essential financial statements and serving as a key liaison between internal departments and affiliates to ensure the swift resolution of outstanding financial issues.

• Mission: This individual will investigate, analyze, and reconcile accounting and financial information, prepare financial statements, and act as a liaison between internal departments and affiliates to resolve outstanding issues.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reconciliation: Create basic journal entries and conduct work paper reconciliation and analysis to ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Asset Management: Manage fixed assets by creating new assets, accurately running depreciation schedules, and preparing all necessary associated reporting.
• Tooling Operations: Oversee tooling records, including monitoring and approval, process and mail corresponding invoices to customers, and provide support to the sales team in resolving past due tooling records.
• Cash Management: Perform thorough bank reconciliations and comprehensive cash account analysis to maintain accurate cash balances.
• Intercompany & Reporting: Execute intercompany account reconciliations to ensure balanced transactions across entities, and complete all required financial reporting in a timely manner.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field. A foundational understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is required for this early career position.
• Experience: This role is suited for individuals with 0-3 years of professional experience directly related to accounting functions.
• Skills: Essential skills include strong analytical abilities to investigate, interpret, and reconcile complex financial information from various sources; robust written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with both internal teams and external customers; demonstrated customer service skills to proficiently address and resolve financial inquiries; and an intermediate, practical understanding of core accounting principles.
