Entry Level Accountant | Enterprise Mobility
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Enterprise Mobility, located in Pensacola, FL. This Accountant role is critical in gaining real-world business, accounting, and financial training, preparing you to eventually oversee all aspects of financial management as a Controller/VP of Finance. You will be a key partner, providing balance to the marketing and operational pieces of our business and contributing to excellence in customer service, growth strategies, operating efficiencies, and profitability.

• Mission: Owns the execution of accounting procedures and principles to prepare financial statements and analysis, supporting the path to a Controller/VP of Finance role.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, journal entries, expense accruals, and allocations based on accounting procedures and principles.
• Audit and Reconciliation: Perform comprehensive branch audit evaluations, assemble bank reconciliations, and maintain accurate account schedules.
• Month-End Process Participation: Participate actively in the timely and accurate month-end closing process, ensuring all financial activities are captured.
• Financial Analysis & Improvement: Analyze income statement fluctuations, provide insights for process improvement, and suggest cost-saving ideas.
• Reporting & Compliance Support: Manage financial records, assist in financial reporting, support budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance through audits.
• Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments and assist personnel with questions regarding accounting policies and procedures.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, serving as the foundational knowledge for this entry-level accounting position. A current and valid driver’s license is also required.
• Experience: Demonstrated basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word for essential data management, analysis, and report generation tasks.
• Skills: Strong understanding of core accounting procedures and principles, including the ability to perform financial statement preparation, financial analysis, and contribute to the month-end closing process.
• Bonus: Consideration given to college students within two semesters of graduation with a degree in Accounting or Finance. Ideal candidates will be planning to attain a CPA certification within 1-2 years (flexible), and demonstrate flexibility for career advancement which could include relocation outside the local area/state.
