The Tone:
This is a hybrid role at Sanctuary Wealth, with options for Omaha, NE or Indianapolis, IN. Sanctuary Wealth supports independent financial advisor firms by providing comprehensive services. This Accountant role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and timely bookkeeping for these partner firms, directly supporting their financial operations, compliance, and growth through meticulous financial record-keeping and coordination with external partners.

• Mission: Owns the accurate and timely monthly bookkeeping services for Sanctuary’s partner firms, coordinating with financial advisors and CPA partners.
• Tech Stack: QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Collection: Collect financial information from partner firms for entry into the accounting system.
• Ledger Management: Communicate with financial advisor firms to ensure all activity is properly recorded in the general ledger.
• System Integration: Assist financial advisors in linking various financial accounts, such as checking and credit cards, into the accounting system.
• Reporting Coordination: Coordinate monthly financial statement preparation with the CFO and third-party CPA partners.
• Tax Support: Assist with the 1099 process for advisor vendors and collaborate with corporate accounting on IRS filings.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required, with a focus on accounting principles.
• Experience: Proficiency with computers, and a high level of efficiency and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Skills: Strong customer service and communication skills, intermediate to advanced Excel spreadsheet proficiency, positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and ability to work as a team player.
• Bonus: Experience with QuickBooks and Sage Intacct.
