What You’ll Actually Do
• Regulatory Compliance & Policy: Ensure strict compliance with all local, state, federal, and government accounting and financial regulations, and contribute to the recommendation and presentation of standard internal accounting policies and procedures.
• General Ledger & Reconciliation: Compile and accurately maintain journal entries within the computer system, then perform comprehensive reconciliations of general ledger accounts and key balance sheet accounts, reviewing the general ledger trial balance for precision.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information to management, while actively investigating and resolving any identified variances in reporting.
• Consolidation & Closing Activities: Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation and closing activities in full compliance with SOX requirements. This also includes aiding in the broader consolidation process for both tax and Corporate Controllers departments.
• External Audit & SEC Support: Provide crucial support for the schedule and requests of external auditors, and actively assist in the preparation of the Annual Report and the filing of information with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, preparing you for an early career role.
• Experience: Possess 0-2 years of experience in an accounting or related financial capacity.
• Skills: Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy, solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, good communication skills, a solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), a solid understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
