The Tone:
This is a full-time role at NetDocuments. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and contributing to the efficient functioning of the business that shapes the future of legal work.

• Pay: $75000–$82000 yearly
• Team: Reports to the Accounting Manager
• Mission: Support day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and month-end close, to ensure accurate financial records and efficient business processes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support the monthly close process, which includes general ledger accounting, commissions, bank reconciliations, prepaid accounting, and fixed asset management.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and reclassifications, ensuring all entries have appropriate supporting documentation.
• Assist with preparations for and coordination of external audits.
• Contribute to sales and use tax filings and other fundamental tax-related compliance tasks as needed.
• Respond to internal inquiries concerning account statuses and reconciling items.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, along with a strong understanding of accounting principles, finance principles, and financial reporting.
• Experience: 1 to 2 years of professional accounting experience or equivalent related education.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, comfort using AI tools like Claude to support accounting workflows, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing deadlines, especially during month-end close.
• Bonus: Experience with NetSuite, background working at a SaaS company, or previous experience using AI tools.
