What You’ll Actually Do
• Compliance Monitoring: Analyze and monitor adherence to financial, reporting, and legal requirements.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, reconcile, and submit a variety of financial reports and statements to internal departments, financial institutions, and external agencies.
• Budget Management: Organize, prepare, and review budget documentation, including determining revenue and expenditure coding and reconciling budget proceeds.
• Accounts Payable & Records: Prepare invoices for payment authorization, assign expenditures to proper cost centers, and maintain accounts payable ledgers and records.
• Fiscal Guidance: Provide ongoing technical assistance to departments on fiscal policies, procedures, and budget guidelines.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Experience: No experience required.
• Skills: Proficiency in financial analysis and interpretation of financial documents; ability to work with balance sheets, financial statements, journal entries, account classifications, and chart of accounts; intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Bonus: Experience with accounting work or financial analysis; may require a valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver’s License.
