3rd Shift Entry Level Printing Press Helper

Pay Rate: $17.50/hr. up to $20/hr.

Category/Shift: Hourly Full-Time (11pm-7am – Monday-Friday)

About the Job: Your Responsibilities

As a 3rd Shift Entry Level Printing Press Helper, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring efficiency and quality. Your primary duties will include:

  • Counting and stacking finished product.
  • Reading factory orders accurately to ensure correct production.
  • Accurately reading gauges and other test equipment.
  • Utilizing basic shop math for various tasks, including inspecting.
  • Accurately completing quality and administrative documents and following directions.
  • Performing clean-up functions such as blowing down the machine, wiping off shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming, and sweeping the machine area.
  • Picking up and shredding scrap materials.

Skills and Qualifications You Will Bring

We are looking for a dedicated individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety and teamwork. Ideal candidates will possess the following skills and attributes:

General Requirements:

  • Must have a safe and stable work history, a good attendance record, a positive attitude, and a desire to produce quality work as part of a team.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Candidates must be willing to work weekends and overtime as required.
  • Basic computer skills are required; knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs.

Technical Skills:

  • Must be able to read a standard tape measure and read and understand job specification cards.
  • Demonstrated ability to add and subtract all units of measurement, read and copy figures, and count and record figures.
  • Proficiency in basic shop math.

Safety Requirements:

  • Must follow all safety rules and procedures.
  • Watch out for crew member’s safety at all times.
  • Always follow lock out and tag out procedures.
  • Always use personal protective equipment (steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs, Kevlar gloves, etc.).
