Role Description

Adkison Law Firm is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated 2L Summer Intern for a full-time, on-site position in the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Area. This invaluable internship offers a comprehensive hands-on experience in a dynamic legal environment, providing direct exposure to litigation practices within the critical oil, gas, contract, and real property sectors.

As a 2L Summer Intern, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting in-depth legal research to support ongoing cases and legal strategies.
  • Drafting and reviewing a variety of legal documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards.
  • Assisting experienced attorneys with thorough preparation for court proceedings, including organizing exhibits and witness materials.
  • Actively contributing to the development of case strategies by analyzing facts and legal precedents.
  • Meticulously reviewing relevant case materials to identify key information and potential issues.

Qualifications

We are looking for a driven individual who meets the following criteria:

  • Currently enrolled as a second-year law student (2L) and in good academic standing.
  • Demonstrated strong legal research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information effectively.
  • Proven proficiency in legal writing, drafting, and the meticulous review of legal documents.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
  • A keen attention to detail and superior organizational abilities, particularly when managing extensive case materials.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with attorneys and legal staff in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • A strong personal character and a robust work ethic are absolutely required.
  • Familiarity with oil, gas, contract, and real property law is a significant plus and will be highly regarded.
