Job Description: 2026 Summer Sales Internship Program
This internship program at Cottingham & Butler is designed for ambitious and driven sales-minded individuals, offering a deep dive into various aspects of the sales process to provide hands-on experience and develop essential skills.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):
As a Sales Intern, you will be actively involved in:
• Cold Calling Prospects: Learning and practicing effective cold calling techniques to introduce services to potential clients and identify their insurance needs.
• Client Meetings: Traveling alongside experienced sales professionals to client meetings, observing and participating in discussions to gain an understanding of client requirements and effective solutions.
• Industry Knowledge: Conducting research into market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the insurance sector to build a comprehensive industry understanding.
• Sales Strategies: Collaborating with team members to develop and implement tailored sales strategies for diverse clients and situations.
• Training Sessions: Participating in specialized training sessions and workshops focused on enhancing sales skills, product knowledge, and overall understanding of the insurance industry.
• Networking: Building a professional network through interactions with clients, industry professionals, Cottingham & Butler executives, and fellow interns during various events and activities.

• Program Dates: The internship runs from Tuesday, May 19th, 2026, to Friday, July 24th, 2026.
• Compensation: Interns receive a $6,500 paid stipend, with additional bonus opportunities.
