About Company

Grace is a company involved in the field of catalyst manufacturing, business operations, and materials technology. They aim to provide valuable work experience to interns and identify “Game Changers” for their future workforce. Grace also offers a Manufacturing Leadership Program (MLP) for recent bachelor’s and master’s graduates, which is a three-year rotational program designed to develop future leaders in operations through hands-on assignments and professional training under the guidance of a senior-level mentor.

Internship Program Name: 2026 Summer Internship Program

Key Focus Disciplines:
This internship program offers projects focused on one or more of the following areas:
• Engineering/Process Technology
• Environmental, Health and Safety
• Research & Development
• Maintenance and Reliability
• Capital Management

Project Nature:
Intern projects are designed to address Grace’s day-to-day business needs. The work interns accomplish will be integral to creating solutions and/or streamlining processes within the company.

General Internship Details:
Duration: 12 weeks (June 1st – August 14th)
Potential Locations: Columbia or Curtis Bay, MD; East Chicago, IN; Pasadena, TX; Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, Norco, LA; South Haven, MI
Compensation: Paid Hourly rate plus a $3,000 stipend
Work Arrangement: Projects will be on-site

Post-Internship Opportunity:
Upon successful completion of the MLP Track Internship, interns will be considered for Grace’s Manufacturing Leadership Program (MLP).

Manufacturing Leadership Program (MLP) Details:
Duration: Three years
Eligibility: Recent bachelor’s and master’s graduates
Experience: Offers the chance to explore a variety of operations experiences through hands-on program assignments.
Mentorship: Participants work under the guidance of a senior-level mentor.
Rotations: Participants rotate through three one-year assignments in disciplines such as Process Engineering, Project Engineering, Supply Chain, and Environmental, Health & Safety.
Development: Participants receive professional training and development to strengthen leadership skills.

Overall Goal:
The primary goal of the internship program is not just to provide valuable work experience, but to identify and recruit the next generation of “Game Changers” for Grace.

Required Qualifications:
Applicants MUST meet all of the following criteria:
• Be entering their junior or senior year (with a GRADUATION DATE of 2027 or 2028).
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related science or engineering field.
• Have the ability to work the entire duration of the program (June – August) without any interruptions, except for company holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Clear and excellent communication skills
• Ability to learn and adapt to new environments
• Have a minimum cumulative 3.0 grade point average
• Interest in Grace’s Manufacturing Leadership Program (if eligible)
• Experience working with MS Suite

Examples of Past Technical Internship Projects:
Research and development: Synthesize, Purify and characterize small organic molecules for testing as new catalyst components.
CBM Automated Reporting: Develop a process to automatically collect condition-based monitoring data in real time on machine health and communicate key performance indicators about bad actors before failure.
Metrics Scorecard and Reporting Rollout: Assist in the design and development of new manufacturing metric reports.
Site Winterization Planning: Assist in planning for winterization of the site, including generating a list of items, planning, and ordering materials.
New Product Development and Pilot-Scale Equipment Support: Develop fundamental knowledge of laboratory-scale and pilot-scale synthesis of catalysts.
