2026 Summer Intern: XR Frameworks Development

Position Summary & Focus


We are seeking a highly motivated and talented intern to join our SRA/MPS lab. This exciting opportunity focuses on the development of next-generation AR/XR frameworks technologies using C++. The intern will be instrumental in creating proof of concepts that will define the future of augmented and mixed reality experiences.

Position Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement proof of concepts for next-generation AR/XR framework technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of developed solutions.
  • Work on the design, development, and optimization of XR frameworks using C++.
  • Conduct debugging and troubleshooting to identify and address issues promptly.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to XR frameworks.
  • Gain hands-on experience working on cutting-edge AR/XR technologies.
  • Collaborate with experienced professionals and contribute to real-world projects.
  • Networking opportunities with industry leaders and professionals.

Required Skills

  • Currently pursuing an MS or PhD in Computer Science.
  • Strong proficiency in C++.
  • Familiarity with Android or Embedded programming.
  • Experience with 3D graphics concepts like OpenGL or Vulkan is a strong plus.
  • Solid debugging skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
