Job Description: 2026 Summer Intern Program Deriva Energy
Deriva Energy is launching its 2026 Summer Intern Program, offering motivated students a chance to gain hands-on experience, expand their skills, and contribute meaningfully to the energy industry. Interns will work on impactful projects, learn from experienced professionals, and build valuable connections to kickstart their careers.
Program Details:
• Duration: 10–12 weeks during Summer 2026.
• Location: Deriva Energy’s corporate office in Charlotte, NC.
• Compensation: Competitive pay, and a housing stipend may be available for eligible interns.
Internship Disciplines Offered:
The program seeks students across a variety of disciplines, including:
• Engineering: Interns will collaborate with technical teams on real-world challenges related to renewable energy, grid modernization, and system performance.
• Project Management: Learn the intricacies of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and with maximum impact.
• Procurement & Supply Chain: Gain exposure to supplier management, strategic sourcing, and global logistics operations.
• Information Technology & Cybersecurity: Support the development of innovative IT solutions and contribute to protecting the company’s digital infrastructure.
• Computer & Data Science: Analyze large datasets and develop insights to drive smarter business decisions.
• Finance & Accounting: Contribute to financial planning, reporting, and analysis that informs strategic corporate decisions.
• Human Resources: Support people-focused initiatives across talent acquisition, employee experience, and organizational development.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the listed disciplines.
• Demonstrated interest in the listed or related disciplines.
Desired Qualifications:
• Current undergraduate or graduate students (rising juniors, seniors, or master’s candidates are preferred).
• Strong academic performance in a relevant field of study.
• A high degree of curiosity, initiative, and a passion for continuous learning.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
• Involvement in community service or volunteer experience.
• A keen interest in renewable energy.
• Self-driven, motivated, and proactive work ethic.
