Overview

Kelley Construction is a versatile commercial and industrial general contractor, holding licenses to operate across many states in the U.S. We bring extensive technical expertise to all facets of commercial construction, including restaurants, medical facilities, warehousing, fast-food chains, large design-build expansions, and general office renovations. Our experience also extends to industrial construction, encompassing liquid storage and containment, petroleum-related projects, pre-engineered metal buildings, and concrete construction.

Job Summary

Kelley Construction, Inc., based in Louisville, KY, is actively recruiting for 2026 Spring/Summer Interns. Interns will gain hands-on construction management experience by working under the direct supervision of an assigned Project Manager, Field Manager, or Chief Estimator, and collaborating with other seasoned construction professionals. Intern assignments may be located at a job site or within the office, depending on the Company’s needs and the intern’s experience and performance trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of an assigned Project Manager, Field Manager, or Chief Estimator.
• Collaborate with experienced construction professionals.
• Participate in hands-on construction management activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a degree program.
• Pursing an undergraduate degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Must be available for the entire duration of the co-op/internship period (e.g., summer, spring).
• Must possess strong analytical skills.
• Must demonstrate strong verbal communication skills.
• Must possess strong and detailed written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret building plans.

Desired Skills (Plus)

• Availability for travel on an as-needed basis.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Vice President of Operations.

This is a Co-op/Intern position, 1st Shift.
