This role is for the 2026 Commercial Banking Summer Internship, part of Wells Fargo’s Early Careers program.

About the Role:
Wells Fargo Commercial Banking provides market-leading solutions, industry expertise, and insights to support clients’ growth and success, contributing to the communities they serve.

Program Overview:
The summer internship is a structured 10-week program designed for undergraduate students. Its purpose is to provide a foundational understanding of Commercial Banking and potential career paths within the field through practical, hands-on experience. Interns will work with experienced teams within one of Wells Fargo’s Commercial Banking businesses, gaining exposure to the company’s operations, business strategies, and culture.

During the Summer, Focus Areas for Development Include:
The program emphasizes intern development to prepare them for their next career steps. Interns will gain insight into Wells Fargo’s corporate and credit culture, along with opportunities for professional development, skill acquisition, community involvement, networking, and analytical training specific to the line of business concepts. Key elements include:
Induction Week: A week-long onboarding and training session for all Wells Fargo interns, providing a jump start to the experience and networking opportunities with peers and leaders.
On-the-job experience: Interns will have meaningful and in-depth experiences working as part of a high-performing team, actively participating in day-to-day activities to build analytical skills and a basic understanding of key processes.
Professional support: Interns will be partnered with high-performing employees who serve as resources and coaches, available to answer questions, help navigate challenging situations, and provide feedback throughout the summer.
A virtual speaker series: Top Wells Fargo leaders provide insights into making the most of the summer experience and learning about trends in the financial services industry.
Organized networking activities: The program promotes community involvement and networking with peers and employees across Wells Fargo.

In This Role You Will:
• Participate in formal internship program activities, workshops, and various initiatives.
• Complete numerous assignments to become familiar with policies and procedures, handling low-to-medium complex tasks and deliverables where answers can be quickly obtained.
• Conduct research and financial analysis to assess client needs and identify optimal Wells Fargo products and services.
• Partner with relationship managers, product specialists, and credit underwriters to support real-time business efforts that drive client outcomes.
• Receive direction from a manager while exercising independent judgment in developing knowledge of compliance and risk management requirements for the supported area.
• Prioritize work, apply attention to detail, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.

Placement and Duration:
• Offers are made for specific office locations, based on candidate preference and business needs.
• Interns will be notified of their specific Commercial Banking business placement prior to the program start.
Program Duration: 10 weeks, from June to August 2026 (exact dates TBD and subject to change).

Required Qualifications, US: 6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date between December 2026 or May/June 2027. All majors are welcome.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills.
• Involvement in extracurricular enrichment activities through one or more of the following: volunteerism, student organization involvement, study abroad program(s), leadership position(s), non-profit involvement.
• Proven ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a collaborative, change-driven atmosphere.
• Energetic self-starter who proactively takes initiative, acts with urgency, remains curious, and has a genuine interest in learning and growth.
• Demonstrated knowledge, interest, and/or experience in finance, accounting, and sales.

General Pay Range:
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position: $18.00 – $65.00. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. This range is just one component of the compensation package.
