This is an announcement for the 2026 Commercial Banking Summer Internship – Early Careers program at Wells Fargo.

Program Overview:
The Wells Fargo Commercial Banking division provides market-leading solutions, industry expertise, and insights to support the growth and success of its clients and enhance the communities it serves. This summer internship is a structured 10-week program designed for undergraduate students. Its primary goal is to provide interns with a foundational understanding of Commercial Banking and potential career paths within the field through practical, hands-on experience. Interns will work directly with experienced teams within one of Wells Fargo’s Commercial Banking businesses, gaining exposure to the company’s operations, business strategies, and corporate culture.

Key Development Focus During the Program:
The internship prioritizes the intern’s professional development to prepare them for future career steps. It offers insights into Wells Fargo’s corporate and credit culture, along with opportunities for:

Program Components:
Induction Week: A week-long onboarding and training session with interns from across Wells Fargo, providing a jump start to the experience and networking opportunities.
On-the-job experience: Interns will engage in meaningful and in-depth work as part of a high-performing team, actively participating in day-to-day activities to build analytical skills and a basic understanding of key processes.
Professional support: Interns will be partnered with high-performing employees who serve as resources and coaches, offering guidance, help with challenging situations, and feedback throughout the summer.
A virtual speaker series: Top leaders at Wells Fargo will provide insights on maximizing the summer experience and discuss trends within the financial services industry.
Organized networking activities: The program promotes community involvement and networking opportunities with peers and employees across Wells Fargo.

In This Role You Will:
• Actively participate in formal internship program activities, workshops, and various initiatives.
• Complete numerous assignments to become familiar with policies and procedures, often related to low-to-medium complex tasks and deliverables.
• Conduct research and financial analysis to assess client needs and identify optimal Wells Fargo products and services.
• Collaborate with relationship managers, product specialists, and credit underwriters to support real-time business efforts that drive client outcomes.
• Receive direction from a manager while exercising independent judgment, and develop knowledge of compliance and risk management requirements for the supported area.
• Prioritize work, demonstrate attention to detail, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and effectively work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.

Program Duration:
The internship spans 10 weeks, typically from June to August 2026 (exact dates are to be determined and subject to change).

Ideal Candidates for This Role Must Have (Required Qualifications, US):
6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.

• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, demonstrating flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability.

Desired Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date between December 2026 or May/June 2027. All majors are welcome.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills.
• Involvement in extracurricular enrichment activities (e.g., volunteerism, student organizations, study abroad, leadership positions, non-profit involvement).
• Proven ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a collaborative, change-driven atmosphere.
• Demonstrated knowledge, interest, and/or experience in finance, accounting, and sales.

Pay Range (Hourly):
• Atlanta, GA: $36.06/hr
• Boston, MA: $43.27/hr
• Charlotte, NC: $36.06/hr
• Chicago, IL: $39.90/hr
• Dallas, TX: $36.06/hr
• Minneapolis, MN: $36.06/hr
• Phoenix, AZ: $36.06/hr
• General Base Pay Range (Reflected overall): $18.00 – $65.00 (Pay may vary based on factors like achievements, skills, experience, or work location).
