Job Description: 2025 Summer Internship (Construction Focus):
PulteGroup offers summer internships providing hands-on experience in the homebuilding industry. Interns gain a holistic understanding of the industry through rotational shadowing across various departments and functions. The internship focuses on providing meaningful contributions to projects within a designated function, working alongside experienced professionals. The program includes centralized training and development opportunities, culminating in a capstone presentation to local Division leadership.
Specific Responsibilities (Construction Internship):
• Take charge of select home projects, collaborating with vendors, homeowners, and internal teams.
• Ensure high-quality home delivery on schedule.
• Learn about building codes, materials, scheduling, and construction methodologies.
• Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, Resource Planning, and Customer Care teams.
• Contribute to exceptional customer experience and superior operational execution.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student (or graduated the immediately preceding semester).
• Minimum sophomore status preferred.
• Minimum 2.5 GPA preferred.
• Required Skills/Attributes: Curious, coachable, personable, patient, action-oriented, accountable, motivated, enthusiastic, professional communication skills (verbal and written), tech-savvy (especially Excel and Microsoft Teams), strong organizational skills, self-motivation, learning agility, bias for action, and strong interest in the homebuilding, real estate, or construction industry. Extracurricular activities are a plus.
Internship Details:
• Dates: May 19, 2025 – August 8, 2025 (12 weeks), with potential adjustment.
• Schedule: 40 hours per week, dependent on the specific role’s requirements. Primarily in-person at one of 29 Division Offices or development communities.
• Compensation: $20/hour (may vary by position and location).
• Benefits: Eligibility for participation in the Company’s 401(k) Plan.
