Job Title: Intern, 2025 – 2026 Software Engineer Academic Internship
Job Summary:
As an Intern in the 2025 – 2026 Software Engineer Academic Internship at JPMorgan Chase, you will contribute to building and optimizing digital applications and systems. These systems support millions of customers, clients, and employees globally. The role is a verified job posted on the employer’s career site.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with your assigned SEP Internship Manager at your JPMorgan Chase office to develop innovative solutions for customers, clients, and employees.
• Work as part of agile teams alongside peers and experienced software engineers.
• Work a maximum of 19 hours per week on agile teams. This allows for skill development, idea sharing, and innovation within the global technology community.
• During Winter/Spring Break periods only, Academic Interns have the option to work up to 40 hours per week.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
• Successful completion of the 2025 Software Engineer Internship Program and acceptance of either a 2026 Internship or a Full-Time Software Engineer Program offer with JPMorgan Chase.
• Currently pursuing a B.A., B.S., or a 5th-year M.A. or M.S. degree.
• Expected graduation date must be between December 2025 and June 2027. All academic majors are considered.
• Demonstration of a strong and well-rounded academic background.
• Possession of foundational knowledge in various programming languages, such as Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, and C#.
• Familiarity with databases, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience across the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Exposure to agile methodologies, including Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within specific technical disciplines (e.g., cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile development).
• Awareness of industry-wide technology trends and best practices.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in large teams to achieve organizational goals.
• A passion for fostering an innovative culture.
• Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Preference will be given to candidates majoring in Computer Science and/or Engineering.
