Shake Shack began as a hot dog cart in New York City’s Madison Square Park, initially supporting the Conservancy’s first art installation. After three successful summers, this beloved venture evolved into a permanent kiosk in 2004. Today, Shake Shack is renowned as a modern “roadside” burger stand, dedicated to serving fresh, simple, high-quality versions of classic American fare, from burgers and hot dogs to frozen custard, creating welcoming community hubs for guests.
