Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity

Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity, founded in 1983 as North Carolina’s first Habitat affiliate, empowers individuals and families to achieve strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable housing solutions. We believe that everyone deserves a decent place to live. By partnering with future homeowners and dedicated volunteers, we facilitate the construction and improvement of homes, with families contributing to building their own residences and committing to an affordable monthly mortgage.

Our organization fosters a collaborative and supportive environment, driven by the shared conviction that stable housing is a fundamental right and a cornerstone for thriving communities. To date, Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity has positively impacted over 1,600 adults and children by providing them with the foundation of a stable home. We invite you to join us in our mission to create a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live.
