Job Description
Job Title: RN Acute Care Internal Med (Registered Nurse in Acute Care Internal Medicine)
Location: UCHealth UCHlth Memorial Hosp Central, Colorado Springs, CO, USA
Department: MHC 3 East Internal Med Unit
Employment Type & Hours:
• FTE: Part-Time, 0.6 FTE (48.00 hours per 2-week pay period).
• Shift: Days.
Pay Rate:
• $35.29 – $54.71 per hour.
• Pay is dependent on the applicant’s relevant experience.
Minimum Requirements:
• Education: Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program (if less than 3 years’ experience).
• Licensure: State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Experience: 6 months of nursing (RN) experience.
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card-in-hand before the start date. BLS or CPR card must be valid through sixty days of hire.
Role Summary:
The Registered Nurse provides high-quality direct patient care in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment within Acute Care Internal Medicine. The role emphasizes utilizing evidence-based practices, precepting new healthcare professionals, and prioritizing patient wellness amidst moderate to high patient acuity.

• Unit Type: Direct care involves specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) Units.
• Patient Acuity: Moderate to high patient acuity.
• Care Models: Evidence-based care models incorporate AMSN’s (Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses) core curriculum and various specialty certification standards.
• Education & Training: Clinical Educators provide support and guidance for individualized specialty education and training for competency validation throughout clinical orientation.
