Position Summary
The Pre-Grad Intern position at Walmart Pharmacy offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of patient care and make a significant impact in the community. This role provides hands-on experience in an energetic pharmacy setting, where the intern will learn and improve customer health and wellness by advocating for patient wellbeing.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
• Confidentiality: Ensure the confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in strict adherence to Company policies, as well as local, State, and Federal guidelines.
• Prescription Processing: Assist with the processing of both prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) orders and purchases.
• Patient Care: Deliver direct patient care by recognizing individual patients, assessing their needs, and helping them navigate various clinical therapies.
• Inventory Management: Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers, contributing to the efficient operation of the pharmacy.

• Pharmacy Operations: Ability to manage inventory and maintain the overall cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area.
Minimum Qualifications
• Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Pharmacy school.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certification: Possession of a Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.
Compensation & Benefits
Walmart offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support associates’ financial, physical, and mental wellbeing.
• Hourly Wage: The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00-$28.00, with the actual hourly rate meeting or exceeding the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
• Additional Compensation:
• Annual or Quarterly Performance Bonuses.
• Potential Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) based on location.
