Job Description

Position Title: 2025 Fall USYS Operations and Events Intern

Location: Frisco, TX (on-site with required travel)

Type: Paid Internship

Duration: Flexible start/end dates, approximately August to Mid-December 2025

Purpose:
This internship is designed to provide candidates with hands-on experience in the youth sports industry, offering a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of event management. The intern will primarily assist with the administration and execution of US Youth Soccer’s 2025 Fall events.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support in the planning and execution of USYS Fall events, which include, but are not limited to, the National League, Grassroots Symposium & Leadership Weekend, and the US Youth Soccer Workshop.
• Assist the Operations and Events department with logistical tasks such as packing, shipping, and receiving event crates.
• Contribute to match scheduling.
• Serve as a liaison to state representatives, committee members, participating teams, and referees.

Travel Requirements:
• Event travel is required at the end of September and the end of October/early November.
• Work travel-related expenses, including meals, flights, and lodging, are covered by US Youth Soccer.

Experience and Qualifications:
• Demonstrated ability to excel in managing multiple projects concurrently, with strong attention to detail, effective problem-solving skills, and consistent follow-through.
• Physical capability to lift 50 pounds at US Youth Soccer events.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and effectively within a fast-paced team environment.
• Prior work experience with youth soccer or other youth sports administration is desirable.
