Job Description
This specific position is tailored for transitioning service members participating in the DOD SkillBridge Program, indicating an internship opportunity designed to leverage military experience.

This particular role is for the Government Consulting Services Center of Excellence (CoE).
Location: Preferred locations include Colorado Springs, CO; Denver, CO; Phoenix, AZ; or San Antonio, TX, but the company is open to considering other remote locations.
Salary: This is an N/A SkillBridge Internship, meaning it is an unpaid internship opportunity through the DOD program.
Summary: The role involves providing consulting support primarily related directly or indirectly to the Department of Defense or state/local government(s). Key tasks include developing study methodologies, data collection and analyses, researching, and writing unique reports. This position is ideal for professionals with a passion for public service, process improvement, and project management.
Essential Functions (Key Responsibilities):
• Conducting research on assigned areas/issues and preparing formal and informal reports to summarize information or persuade readers.
• Supporting continuous process improvement and business process reengineering projects through process mapping, data collection, analysis, visualization, and digital solution development.
• Assisting with project execution, including report preparation, technical document and presentation development, and contributing to project deliverables.
• Planning, organizing, and leading virtual and in-person facilitation with project stakeholders for visioning, brainstorming, and problem-solving.
• Meeting with clients and their representatives to present results, resolve issues, answer questions, and maintain relations.
• Performing project management or assistance, encompassing budgeting, scheduling, team organization, prioritizing multiple projects, quality assurance, and invoicing.
• Contributing to proposal development by providing content for various sections as required.
Competencies (Required Skills and Qualifications):
• Familiarity with the organization and structure of the U.S. Department of Defense, with a detailed working knowledge of one or more military services.
• Ability to gather input from stakeholders across all project aspects.
• Skill in collecting and organizing information from diverse sources (databases, documents, surveys, feedback).
• Proficiency in using statistical analysis, simulations, predictive modeling, or other quantitative methods to analyze data and develop practical solutions.
• Strong ability to write memos, reports, and develop presentations explaining findings and recommendations.
• Outstanding communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.
• Well-versed in Microsoft Office suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Ability and willingness to travel to project sites and other company offices.
• Working knowledge of data visualization and automation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is preferred.
Education and Experience:
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, operations research, data science, or a related field.
• Minimum of four years of work-related experience, preferably in engineering, public works, installation management, construction management, logistics, or base operating support.
• A valid driver’s license and successful completion of the Company’s MVR screening.
