Job Description: Intern – Information Technology
This is a 10-week, onsite Information Technology internship program with First Horizon Bank, structured to provide a comprehensive and immersive experience in the banking industry. The internship will run from September 8, 2025, to November 14, 2025. Interns will be paid $20 per hour.
The program is designed to expose students to various leaders and aspects of the banking line of business each week. Interns will engage in projects to understand daily bank operations and develop a well-rounded skillset. Opportunities for guidance from experienced professionals, participation in meetings, and networking with other interns and associates are key components of the program. The aim is for interns to gain valuable insights, build a solid foundation in banking practices, and potentially establish a path for future career opportunities at First Horizon.
The work schedule is flexible, requiring a minimum of 15 to 25 hours per week, within normal business hours.
The Intern will learn and assist with day-to-day duties within One-to-Many technology teams. Potential areas of work include:
• Emerging Technology
• Digital Banking
• Core Banking Applications
• Technology Business Office
• Data & Cloud
• Information Security
Specific duties and responsibilities may include:
• Documenting project deliverables
• Supporting cloud-based analytics and reporting initiatives
• Gathering and analyzing data for technology Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Building management reports using Power BI
• Collaborating with business and other technology partners
• Performing all other duties as assigned
Qualifications for this internship include:
• Being a full-time undergraduate student with an anticipated graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027.
• A GPA of 2.75 or above.
• A strong interest in computer science and problem-solving.
• Demonstrated qualities of resourcefulness, being team-oriented, and enthusiasm.
• Evidence of leadership and self-development (from work or campus activities).
• Ability to interface and network with people at all levels of an organization.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills.
Required computer and office equipment skills include:
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with .net or Java computer programming knowledge.
• Power BI knowledge is a plus.
