Job Description: Integration Engineer Intern
Position: Integration Engineer Intern
Team: Factory Software Team
Location: Fremont, CA
What To Expect:
This internship is expected to start around September 2025 and continue through the Fall term (approximately December 2025), with the possibility of extending into Spring 2026 if available and opportunity permits. A minimum commitment of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, is required. The program is specifically for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program; recent graduates not returning to school should apply for full-time positions.
For International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, it is crucial to consult your school regarding your ability to work 40 hours per week on-site before applying, as many students may be limited to part-time during the academic year.
About The Team:
The Integration Engineer Intern will join Tesla’s Factory Software Team. This team is central to ensuring the smooth operation of Tesla’s manufacturing processes by integrating new production lines with the company’s proprietary Factory, Warehouse, and ERP systems, and providing ongoing support. The role demands a unique blend of technical skills, including system integration knowledge, real-time issue resolution, and user support. It’s a fast-paced environment where flexibility is key, balancing long-term projects with daily operational support.
What You’ll Do:
As an Integration Engineer Intern, you will be responsible for:
• Driving team initiatives by implementing and supporting the integration of new manufacturing lines with Tesla’s Factory, Warehouse, and ERP systems.
• Collaborating with software developers, product managers, and system users to ensure seamless integration of new software features and capabilities.
• Supporting daily operations by troubleshooting and resolving user issues across Tesla factories, including handling support tickets related to factory software systems.
• Creating workarounds for issues that require immediate solutions, while actively working towards permanent resolutions.
• Documenting troubleshooting procedures and providing user training to empower users to resolve common issues independently.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement system optimizations, including automation and monitoring tools, to improve the efficiency of factory software systems.
What You’ll Bring:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
• Current enrollment in a degree program in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with a graduation date between December 2025 – 2026.
• The ability to work on-site in Fremont, CA.
• Experience in a support or integration engineering role, with a focus on system implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Experience working with SQL, Python, Go, or other software development languages for automating tasks and integrating systems.
• A solid understanding of integrated systems and their dependencies, particularly within manufacturing and enterprise environments.
• Experience with system integration and working in environments that use MES (Manufacturing Execution System), WMS (Warehouse Management System), and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems is considered a strong plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for documentation, reporting, and presentations.

Expected Compensation:
The hourly compensation for this position is expected to range from $33.00 – $47.00/hour, plus benefits. Pay may vary based on individualized factors such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
