Job Description
This is an opportunity for a Control Room Intern at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, for the Fall of 2025. This paid internship is designed for undergraduate or graduate students and can be completed for academic credit. The internship typically spans 10-14 weeks, starting in early September.
Key Responsibilities:
• Pregame set-up of control room equipment.
• Operating cameras for pregame youth hockey activations within the arena.
• Operating cameras during games to capture fan reactions, dancing, and celebrations for the in-arena show.
• Assisting with control room operations for other events such as Beanpot, Hockey East, and MIAA.
Learning Objectives:
Interns will have the opportunity to:
• Develop camera skills and gain operational knowledge of professional video equipment.
• Learn how the control room prepares and executes the in-arena game day show.
• Potentially learn to operate other control room equipment, such as playback and replay systems.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Must be an undergraduate or graduate student.
• Previous camera experience in a high school or college sports setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of the operation of professional and prosumer cameras (e.g., how to focus, iris, white balance) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of basketball and/or hockey is required.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and sit for the entire length of the shift.
Compensation and Benefits:
• Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour.
