Summary of the Program:
The Summer Internship Program at CED offers a competitive, paid, rotational internship designed to provide interns with hands-on experience in various facets of the electrical industry. Interns will gain insights from different perspectives by rotating through key operational areas. A significant aspect of the internship involves completing real projects for profit center managers, directly influencing decision-making within the company. This program offers a unique opportunity to understand CED’s culture and explore potential career paths. The internship reports directly to a Training Manager and does not involve supervisory responsibilities.

Areas of Experience & Rotations:
Interns will gain practical experience and exposure in multiple aspects of company operations, including:
Warehousing & Logistics
Inventory control & Quality assurance
Customer Relations
Purchasing Logistics
Financial Planning
Management & Project Management
Inside/Outside sales

Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Possession of a current, valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Authorization to work in the United States (without requiring work authorization sponsorship by CED now or in the future).

Preferred Qualifications:
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software.

Working Conditions:
Working conditions during the internship will vary depending on the current segment of training. Environments may include warehouses, offices, and external settings. Some segments may involve physical activities such as lifting, sorting, and standing, and exposure to extreme heat or cold conditions. Office segments may require sitting for extended periods. Additionally, various segments of the internship will include some travel, both by car and by air.

Learning all aspects of the CED business.
Communicating effectively, both in written and spoken English.
